Software Engineer - Acropolis Hypervisor Development

We are seeking a talented software development expert to join our Cambridge-based team and contribute to shaping the future of the software-defined datacenter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining features for Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) while collaborating with open-source communities to ensure reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test software features for Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV)
  • Collaborate with open-source communities to ensure compatibility and security
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead the development process from concept to market
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of industry experience or research experience
  • Strong coding skills in C and Python, familiarity with Rust and GoLang is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux, OS internals, distributed systems
  • Experience with x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management
  • Familiarity with KVM and QEMU is preferred
  • Experience interacting with open source communities
