Position Overview:
Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for dedicated SEN Class Teachers to support students with complex needs in a specialized educational setting.

SEN Teachers (Open to both Primary and Secondary Class Teachers)

Institution Type:
Special Educational Needs (SEN) School focusing on ASD, Complex Needs for Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 students (PMLD/SLD/ASD and related SEN)
Full Time: 5 days per week
Working Hours: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM

Immediate Trials Available

Core Responsibilities:

Teaching Duties:

Provide engaging and effective instruction to primary, secondary, and post-16 students with complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, ASD, and related SEN.

Design lesson plans tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Employ PECS, visual aids, Makaton, and other specialized communication techniques to enhance student learning and participation.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback and support as necessary.
Maintain a well-organized and resourceful classroom environment.

Student Capabilities:

Students exhibit a range of abilities, with some functioning at developmental levels below 18 months, while others meet pre-key stage standards 1 and 2. All students are non-verbal and may demonstrate challenging behaviors.



Essential Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience in an educational setting
Knowledge of complex needs and severe learning difficulties
Ability to create, prepare, and deliver customized lesson plans
A valid DBS check on the update service
Eligibility to work full-time in the UK
