Job Title: Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team in supporting adults with complex needs in a unique supported tenancy.

About the Role: As an Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to adults with autism, dementia, and learning disabilities. You will work closely with the manager, team, and family members to establish good daily routines and perform personal care. You will also be responsible for seizure care, using hoists, and displaying emotional resilience to support service users with life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to adults with complex needs, including autism, dementia, and learning disabilities
  • Work effectively with the manager, team, and family members to establish good daily routines and perform personal care
  • Support wheelchair-bound service users, including using hoists
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with adults with complex needs
  • Experience in, or prepared to undertake training in PEG feeding, epilepsy, and moving and handling
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Registration under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving license (essential)
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (desirable)
