Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to client locations, conduct first-line fault service visits, and perform repairs in accordance with established service level agreements.

You will also engage in planned preventative maintenance, implement field modifications, and provide customer support for Medstrom's contracted products. All tasks will be documented through our job management system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sanitized, ready-to-use products to customer sites
  • Retrieve products post-use and return them for decontamination
  • Conduct disinfection, functionality checks, repairs, and electrical safety tests on products
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, delivery, and collection
  • Manage product stock and spare parts inventory
  • Execute product modifications as necessary
  • Provide product demonstrations and basic training to client staff
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Participation in an on-call rota (once trained) is required, covering one weekend in three, with compensatory time off during the week.

Candidate Profile

To be considered for the Field Service Engineer position, you should ideally possess or be willing to develop the following:

  • A mechanical or electrical background is preferred, but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided
  • Experience in delivery driving and route planning is advantageous
  • A valid UK driving license is essential (training will be provided for maneuvering long wheelbase vans)

  • Basic computer skills, including email and MS Office
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
