Job Title: Quality Assurance and Complaints Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Complaints Manager to join our team at D R Newitt Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective quality assurance programme, ensuring that all quality and regulatory requirements are met, and producing safe, high-quality products for our consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the quality of all aspects in the food production process, including ensuring products are being produced and packed within specification and that the intake checks on raw material are within specification.
  2. Liaise with factory management to implement and maintain food safety and hygiene systems and to ensure that good manufacturing practices are adhered to.
  3. Ensure that products comply with customer specifications.
  4. Implement processes to ensure that staff hygiene and factory rules are being adhered to.
  5. Work with the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) team to ensure product quality and safety.
  6. Investigate customer complaints ensuring corrective action is taken to rectify them.
  7. Oversee and support the professional and personal development of individuals in the Quality Assurance team.
  8. Undertake additional work as required by the Factory Technical Manager or other management members of the Technical Department.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working in a quality assurance role is essential.
  2. Previous experience of working in the food industry is essential.

Education/Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of BRC and retail audit requirements.
  2. Knowledge of food legislation standards.
  3. Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  4. Level 3 Food Safety.
  5. Level 3 HACCP.
