Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all engineering breakdowns, diagnose faults, and replace machine parts as needed.
  • Rectify hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Enhance, repair, and maintain all plant, equipment, and services within the manufacturing facility, adhering to the preventative maintenance schedule and updating the maintenance log.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, working closely with specialist Tool Room Engineers.
  • Participate in improvement projects during planned downtime, identifying engineering solutions to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain relationships with plant and services contractors/suppliers, arranging for necessary engineering works to be undertaken.
  • Organize and maintain the technical database, ordering spares and consumables as required.
  • Work closely with Production, Tool Change, and Tool Room teams to achieve the required engineering outcome.
  • Operate within key Engineering and Health & Safety codes.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
  • GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
