Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our team at a vibrant and fun primary school in Maidstone. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
- Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry to children.
- Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
- Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Our school is a 4-form entry school located in a lovely residential area. We have a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. We aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
- Ability to commute to Maidstone via public transport.
- Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
