Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team at Essential Employment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they are safe, secure, and clean at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities, including general repairs, manual handling, and general upkeep of the building.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure the security and safety of our facilities, including opening and closing buildings, and conducting regular fire safety and health and safety checks.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any maintenance issues to the relevant department and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Travel and Transportation: Utilize a company vehicle for boroughwide travel across centers, with an essential car user allowance payable.

Working Hours and Rota:

The rota operates between the hours of 7am and 6.30pm, with some later opening times up until 9pm on a shared shift rota and some Saturday working on a shared rota.

Contract and Benefits:

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
