Senior Room Leader Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Room Leader to join our team at Staff Match. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and education, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and learning experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct staff in the room to ensure excellent standards of care and education.
  • Monitor children's learning and development, maintaining accurate records and contributing to their progress.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that meet the needs of children, adhering to EYFS guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
  • Ensure compliance with nursery policies and procedures, including Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain professional development.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a childcare setting, with a focus on supporting children's development.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Paediatric First Aid qualifications are desirable.
