About the Role:
XPO Transport Solutions UK Limited is seeking a skilled Operational Trainer to join our team at our British Gypsum site in Sherburn in Elmet. As an Operational Trainer, you will play a crucial role in delivering key training material to our drivers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training sessions to drivers on site or in a classroom environment, focusing on key operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct site inductions for new starters, refresher training, and QHSE training to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Act as an advocate for health and safety, promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the site.
- Support the development of our team members, providing guidance and coaching to help them grow in their roles.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end training cycle, with a focus on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership skills, including motivation and team working, to inspire and guide our drivers and team members.
- Ability to influence others to deliver excellent results, promoting a culture of safety awareness and operational excellence.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Class 1 Licence (or equivalent) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- A competitive salary of up to £37,000 per annum, plus benefits and perks.
