Major Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Goods Inwards Inspector to join our esteemed client located in the Stokesley region.

This role is a Full-time Permanent position, comprising 39 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary range of £24,000 - £30,000, depending on experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all incoming goods and materials adhere to established quality standards.
  • Perform testing and documentation to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure that any non-conforming products are contained until resolved.

Additional Duties:

  • Execute documentation checks in line with company procedures.
  • Identify and record any non-conformities, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address issues and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the goods inward area.
  • Support the Goods In Team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in quality control or inspection techniques.
  • A level standard qualification or higher.

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or discrepancies.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Competent in data entry and documentation.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in maintaining ERP systems is preferred.
