Job Description

**Job Title:** Mechanical Project Supervisor

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Supervisor to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of mechanical installations on-site for a 6-week period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Supervise Mechanical Installations:**
    • Oversee the installation of Copper Domestic Services ensuring they meet design and quality standards.
    • Supervise both Copper and MLCP services (multi-layer composite piping) for domestic hot and cold water systems.
    • Manage and inspect HDPE Services for drainage and other relevant applications.
    • Oversee the installation of U-PVC ventilation services, ensuring compliance with the specifications.
    • Monitor the application of thermal insulation on pipes and ductwork, ensuring correct installation methods.
  • **Fieldview Reporting:**
    • Utilize Fieldview to document daily activities, track installation progress, and report any issues or non-conformities.
    • Ensure all inspections and site activities are logged accurately and in a timely manner using Fieldview.
  • **Quality Control & Compliance:**
    • Ensure that all mechanical services are installed in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular checks on materials and installation methods, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
    • Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • **Coordination & Communication:**
    • Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow and that installations are completed within the agreed timelines.
    • Communicate effectively with the site team, ensuring that any potential delays or issues are identified and managed.
  • **Health & Safety:**
    • Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure that safety procedures are followed during mechanical installations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role within the construction or building services industry.
  • Strong expertise in copper, MLCP, HDPE, U-PVC ventilation, and thermal insulation systems.
  • Proficiency in Fieldview for reporting and tracking progress.
  • Ability to supervise and guide installation teams, ensuring quality and timely completion of work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle on-site challenges efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience in supervising large-scale mechanical installations, particularly in plumbing, ventilation, and insulation.
