About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team in the Elderly Units. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our service users, promoting their mental health wellbeing, self-autonomy, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care in liaison with the care team
  • Work as a Named Nurse or part of a team for individuals in the service area, providing a holistic approach to service user assessment, treatment, review, and management of packages of care
  • Ensure statutory requirements of the MHA 1983 (amended 2007) and Mental Capacity Act are observed and applied
  • Have effective working relationships with other professionals within the service area, across the Strategic Business Units, Trust, and other NHS providers and key stakeholders
  • Contribute towards effective management and utilisation of resources with the service area
  • Lead a nursing staff team in the absence of the Charge Nurse
Requirements
  • Experience in RNMH/RMN
  • NMC registration
  • IT/PC literacy
  • Experience of assessing and managing clinical risk
