Senior Mobile Engineer

Our client IMV Imaging is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Bellshill, Glasgow and will work in a hybrid position.

About the Role

The Senior Mobile Engineer will participate in the research, design, production, and maintenance of software on IMV solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the functional analysis of user needs on our veterinarian products
  • Participating in workload estimation and follow planning
  • Designing software architecture based on iOS and Android, or web technologies
  • Developing programs and communication protocols using languages such as C/C++, Java, Objective C, Flutter, JavaScript
  • Applying source code configuration, integration, and delivery management, quality controls, automated tests for interfaces: Git, Jenkins, Azure, Docker
  • Writing software documentation (functional, technical, testing, user manual)
  • Providing technical support to After Sales Service and Production teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and full-stack development of mobile applications with native iOS, native Android, and mobile cross-platforms. You will also have experience with communication protocols in C/C++, USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, development of API, software architecture, and Cloud & devops infrastructure (Azure). Additionally, you will have experience with database management, GDPR, and cybersecurity for connected applications.

You will be able to develop desktop applications with data exchange on a Cloud server and propose changes to the architecture and technologies of our software solutions. You will also be familiar with the industrial world and its implications for results in development processes. Knowledge of ultrasound and/or image data management would be appreciated, as well as knowledge of medical development standards (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, IEC).
