About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Visitor to join our team, providing essential care and support to families within Swindon.
As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of children and young people from birth to five years old. You will work closely with families, offering guidance, advice, and practical support on a range of issues, including child development, nutrition, immunizations, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive health assessments and interventions tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Contribute to Early Help Assessments and plans, working proactively to address potential concerns.
- Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional standards.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to team discussions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a specialization in Child Health or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and families.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
