About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Age UK's Beaconsfield shop. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers, while also contributing to the successful day-to-day running of the shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience
  • Support with sales, stock rotation, and store tidying
  • Organise displays and maintain a visually appealing shop environment
  • Handle cash and operate a till
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and deputising for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager when needed
  • Represent Age UK in a professional manner, reflecting our core values
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lone work when needed
  • Flexibility to work additional days to cover holidays and sickness, or participate in trading outside of normal shop hours
