Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Financial Strategist who will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. This position requires a strong presence in finance business partnering, particularly with our Operational and Technology divisions, to ensure we effectively manage our cost structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Act as the finance lead for personnel costs, collaborating closely with the Chief People Officer to ensure a comprehensive understanding and optimization of workforce expenses.
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement overhead allocation strategies to enhance product profitability and inform commercial pricing for bids.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish, track, and challenge performance KPIs against planned targets, particularly for third-party expenditures including licenses and marketing.
  • Investment Analysis: Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) for investments, providing critical insights to guide future initiatives.
  • Resource Strategy: Formulate the overall narrative regarding Arqiva's resource allocation, influencing strategic decisions to ensure successful business outcomes while maximizing profitability.
  • Financial Planning: Own the Long Term Plan, budget, and forecasts for designated areas, challenging leadership to optimize cash outcomes and delivering high-quality reports for board-level review.
  • Deputy Responsibilities: Serve as a deputy for the Head of Finance in areas related to Technology, Opex, and Capex as necessary.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized accounting qualification or equivalent finance degree.
  • Extensive experience in data analysis and the ability to communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
