We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage all purchase ledger invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Set up and maintain purchase ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Manage and maintain the accounts payable email inbox, ensuring prompt response to supplier inquiries.
- Process costs onto the database, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to monthly supplier statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coding purchase ledger invoices to match with budgetary requirements, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Process payments through the company account, ensuring correct VAT receipts are provided.
- Prepare supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Process daily BACS payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process staff expenses, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
Requirements
- Full right-to-work in the UK, with prior experience working in a UK finance role.
- Familiarity with VAT regulations related to the purchase ledger.
- Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of between £26,000 and £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
