Job Title: Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Corporate team in the UK or Ireland. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting large cross-class renewal accounts and providing technical support to our regional underwriting teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate as an advisory/referral point to achieve responsible product development within the Corporate division.
  • Active engagement in key case underwriting and new business.
  • Mentor and coach development underwriting staff to ensure underwriting standards and profitability objectives are achieved.
  • Assist in the development and leveraging of broker/client relationships.
  • Act as a large case expert both internally and externally.
  • Assist the Director Corporate to determine sector strategy.
  • Encourage others to help achieve underwriting, sales, and production goals.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge and ability in analytical thinking, judgment, decision making, communication, and team work.
  • Proven ability in broker planning and engagement activities.
  • Advanced ability in customer focus and positive broker interaction.
  • Intermediate knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office systems, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Typically demonstrates advanced relationship management skills.
