Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at McDermott International, Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems for our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze electrical systems, including power generation, substations, and distribution systems.
  • Develop detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Review vendor documentation and provide comments as necessary.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections.
  • Prepare and resolve punch lists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant, predominantly performing detail design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility during heavy workload periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current on new scientific engineering methods and possesses a technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process.
  • Capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools.
