Domestic/Laundry Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our team at Swallowcourt. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our residential homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean all allocated areas and rooms, including furniture, fittings, and floor coverings, according to our cleaning schedules.
  • Clean all equipment as scheduled or directed, including sanitary wear, with particular attention to infection control guidelines.
  • Report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to the required standard through normal cleaning procedures.
  • Dispose of waste safely following our waste disposal guidelines.
  • Assist with the delivery of breakfast trays around the home, ensuring suitable clothing is worn for this duty.
  • Keep bedrooms free of used crockery/cutlery and other waste.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including delivery of residents' clothes to their rooms.
  • Respect residents' privacy and dignity, particularly in relation to their personal belongings.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably expected.
