Radiology Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Specialist Radiographer to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical and radiographer staff, and further developing an efficient MRI service for our organization.
Main Responsibilities- To lead the technical/radiographer staff, and to further develop an efficient MRI service for BHRUT.
- The post-holder will participate in the effective day-to-day running of the MRI service, standardizing protocols, managing patient bookings and waiting lists, and managing radiographers and radiology support workers throughout all areas.
- To ensure the MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trust policies, including comprehensive competency assessments.
- In conjunction with the MRI Superintendent Radiographer, to promote continuous improvements in service delivery and quality within all areas of the MRI service, using modern methods to improve productivity, leading in the delivery of service and workforce transformation, and re-design.
- The post-holder will manage the work of staff in the department and help develop a culture in which members of staff are continuously improving the delivery of high-quality service. Ensuring the development and acceptance of challenging but realistic objectives for staff through leadership, motivation, and systematic performance management achieved the required results.

Person SpecificationEducation/Qualifications
- Hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma, or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria
- Post-grad in MRI or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities
- Management/Leadership/Supervisory skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of working at this level.
Experience/Knowledge
- 5 years and above proven post-qualification experience in MRI is essential.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with people, different MRI platforms, etc.
