Mobile Plant Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Technician to join our team at ENS Recruitment. As a Mobile Plant Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine service and maintenance of plant equipment, including dump trucks, excavators, tractors, and pumps.
  • Preventative maintenance works to avoid potential breakdowns.
  • Fault diagnostics on diesel engine and hydraulic systems, as well as electrical systems.
  • Annual statutory testing, including LOLER.
  • Working on customer sites and depots.
  • Mobile site-based work with a company vehicle provided.
Requirements:
  • Good health and safety experience with various types of plant machinery.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Confidence in the quality of your work.
  • Welding and general hot works experience beneficial.
  • Good communication and basic IT skills required.
What We Offer:
  • Company van for work use only.
  • Laptop.
  • Mobile phone.

You will need to have your own tools. A competitive salary range of £36,000 - £38,000 basic plus overtime is on offer, with the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus of up to £1000 after a probation period. You will be paid from when you leave your house each day, not from when you get to site.
