The Lead Frontend Engineer will establish and guide a new engineering team focused on frontend software development for a global e-commerce platform specializing in short video content and cost-effective product discovery. This position entails building and leading a high-performing team, providing technical direction, and collaborating with business units to enhance user experience and optimize supply chain and logistics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Establish and nurture a new engineering team, mentoring junior members and offering technical guidance.
- Technical Direction: Build and oversee a team of frontend or full-stack engineers, providing technical leadership and contributing to project-related technical decisions.
- Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with business teams and participate in product-related technical discussions.
- System Enhancement: Work alongside team members to improve the experience and performance of supply chain and logistics systems and platforms.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including experience in managing or leading a software engineering team.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in software programming with a strong emphasis on code design and coding standards.
- In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, and analysis, as well as networking.
- Experience with React, Angular, or similar libraries/frameworks.
- Ability to address CSS/JS cross-browser compatibility challenges and optimize frontend performance.
- Familiarity with at least one backend language (Java, Golang, Python, C) and common databases and messaging frameworks (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, etc.).
- Experience in full-stack development is advantageous.
- Exceptional software design and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, passionate, and equipped with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Candidates with backgrounds in large tech and e-commerce firms such as Amazon, Microsoft, Walmart, Flexport, Alibaba, Temu, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu, UPS, and FedEx are preferred.
- Exclusions: Candidates with recent contractor roles from small or unknown companies or those who are overqualified (15+ years of experience) may not be considered. A lack of domain knowledge in logistics is a concern for managerial roles.
- Common Reasons for Interview Failure: Insufficient experience or too many projects not relevant to the client’s location.
