Position Overview

We are seeking a **Gas Service Supervisor** to oversee our gas service operations. This role is essential in managing the daily activities related to gas maintenance and emergency breakdowns. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers, ensuring adherence to safety standards and organizational policies, while enhancing workflow efficiency to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise gas and heating maintenance and repair services for various client properties and significant contracts.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and act responsibly at all times.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations, Gas Safe standards, and other relevant industry guidelines.
  • Foster the development of engineers through training and knowledge sharing.
Key Duties:
  • Assist the Senior Gas Contract Manager with daily operational tasks.
  • Mentor apprentices by providing supervision and training across their portfolio.
  • Share information to support the development of trade staff through equal opportunities.
  • Address technical issues by collaborating with staff, analyzing data, and identifying solutions with the Installation Contract Manager.
  • Respond to inquiries from engineers and clients, providing necessary information.
  • Ensure contract KPIs and quality standards are met by executing installations efficiently and safely with a focus on quality.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and their customers, respecting all individuals and addressing challenges effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the relevant trade, with certifications such as CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1.
  • City & Guilds Energy Efficiency certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience with unvented hot water systems is advantageous.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities.
  • Demonstrated punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and familiarity with mobile PDA technology.
Experience Required:
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the Social Housing sector related to gas and renewable maintenance contracts.
  • Proven experience in supervising teams.
  • Direct experience working with residents and clients.
  • A clean UK driving license and a DBS check are mandatory.
  • Experience in the renewables industry is preferred.
