Job Summary:
AJ Chambers is seeking a highly skilled Tax Investigations Manager to join our team. As a Tax Investigations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and dealing with disclosures, investigations, and disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients and provide expert tax advice
- Deal with HMRC disclosures, investigations, and disputes
- Work with Partners and Directors on complex tax planning projects
- Negotiate settlements with HMRC
- Prepare reports for HMRC
- Work with clients to set realistic timescales and deadlines
- Delegate tasks to junior members of staff and provide guidance and support
- Develop, train, and mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- Previous experience in tax investigations, preferably from HMRC or an Accountancy Practice
- Experience in managing a team and providing leadership
- Qualifications such as ACA/CTA are highly desirable
