Job Summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Junior Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our People function, you will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders, holding regular reviews to review their people, and working with other teams to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide tailored support.
  • People Reviews: Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to review their people, covering all elements of the colleague experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the People function, including Recruitment and Learning & Development, to drive business results.
  • Talent Management: Complete talent reviews with stakeholders, agree actions, and proactively monitor progress.
  • Succession Planning: Develop and maintain a focus on colleague engagement and succession planning for key roles.
  • Employee Relations: Support with upskilling of managers and managing employee relations cases.
  • Project Support: Support with new store openings and closure processes, and deal with TUPE processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally previous experience in a similar generalist HR/People role.
  • Employee Relations: Proven experience of managing employee relations cases, including complex cases.
  • Customer Focus: Experience of working within a highly customer-centric or retail environment.
  • Data Analysis: To be confident working with data.
  • Problem-Solving: Natural curiosity and ability to solve problems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to make impact and build effective relationships.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate, persuade, and influence.
  • Resilience: To be assertive, resilient, and tenacious with the ability to work well under pressure and overcome setbacks and changing priorities.
