We deliver comprehensive healthcare services, including acute hospital care, primary care, community services, and mental health support to a population exceeding 1.15 million, with an extended reach of 2.2 million through our regional and national services.
As part of our commitment to employee well-being, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Please note that certain service areas may not immediately implement the new working hours, and you may be required to work an additional 30 minutes weekly temporarily, for which you will be compensated until the service adjusts its scheduling.
We are currently seeking applications for the position of MRI Lead Radiographer within our North East Radiology team, primarily based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, with the possibility of rotation to other sites as necessary.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified, proactive, and dedicated professional to oversee MRI Imaging Services. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the local management team to enhance and deliver a patient-centered service. A strong emphasis on education and training is vital, and the ideal candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate this.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and execution of clinical and professional standards.
- Demonstrating a commitment to outstanding patient care.
- Managing the daily operations of the MRI department while serving as the professional lead for the modality.
- Assuming additional management responsibilities as we expand our Modality Lead team to support our staff and services.
Furthermore, you will be expected to work in partnership with local universities to foster an innovative learning environment for undergraduate and postgraduate students on placement, while also supporting the professional growth of our staff.
Our North East sector is equipped with three MRI scanners, and this role will be crucial in advancing our service further.
