About the Role:
As the Virtual School Education Coordinator for Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3, you will be responsible for ensuring that children in care receive the support, attention, and high-quality education they deserve. You will work directly with schools, teachers, and carers to improve outcomes and provide expert guidance to social workers, foster carers, and educators to raise awareness about the importance of education for children in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion the educational progress of children in care, working directly with schools, teachers, and carers to improve outcomes.
- Monitor and track educational achievements for each child, ensuring Pupil Premium funds are used effectively and advocating for resources that matter.
- Provide expert guidance to social workers, foster carers, and educators to raise awareness about the importance of education for children in care, and support them in being the best corporate parents.
- Lead on exclusions and transitions, ensuring every child is supported through the most challenging moments in their school life.

Requirements:
- A degree and enhanced DBS (required)
- Experience in education, youth work, or social care, with a strong understanding of the education system and how to improve outcomes for Looked After Children.
