Fire Protection Operations Manager

This esteemed fire alarm systems installer and service provider, SSR Contract & Technical, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Detection Operations Manager to lead their Service Team in the London and South East area. As a key member of the Fire Detection team, you will be responsible for heading up the service delivery team, ensuring that client SLAs are achieved and the Fire Detection service department is running efficiently, in line with company standards.
This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive basic salary of up to £70,000, depending on relevant experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and the option to buy and sell days. You will also be entitled to a contributory company pension scheme, car allowance, Life Assurance, Funded Health Cash Plan, and a 36.5 hour working week.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality services to clients.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage the resolution of any delays or issues that may arise during service delivery.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BS 58439 and LBPS standards.
- Manage the materials and equipment budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Ensure that the quality of work carried out by engineering staff and sub-contractors meets LPS requirements.
- Manage and delegate engineering escalations within the department.
- Attend monthly management meetings to contribute to business strategy and decision-making.
- Meet with clients as required to discuss service delivery and address any concerns.
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all employees.
- Monitor the performance and compliance of approved sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of BS 58439 and LBPS standards.
- Experience in recruiting, managing, developing, and leading a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, deliver to KPIs, and service level agreements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven skills in delivering process/service enhancement and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ability to build successful relationships and provide first-class customer service to existing clients.
