Financial Planner Trainee

The RoleAs a Trainee Financial Planner, you will be provided with a comprehensive training plan to support your development of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to deliver high-quality advice and outcomes for clients, promote the business, and conduct client meetings. You will also be responsible for dictating accurate meeting notes and ensuring all undertakings adhere to relevant FCA rules and regulations.
The role focuses on client communication, providing high-quality financial planning based on individual needs, and applying technical knowledge in specialist areas such as SIPP, SSAS, and discretionary investment management. You will be fully supported in all aspects of pension and investment administration by our teams of account executives and typists who prepare meeting notes for clients.
Key Requirements- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English Language – Grade C or above
- At least 3 years' experience in a client-facing role
- Effective diary management to develop business and maintain high standards of customer service
- Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills to conduct client meetings and build long-term relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated to set and achieve personal goals on a regular basis
- Active in/ownership of personal development through qualifications, industry training, and ongoing reading
- Ability to problem-solve and provide tailored client solutions
- Salary – up to £35,000 gross per annum (dependent on qualifications, knowledge, and experience)
