Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for both Yeovil and Poole factories.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Manage inventory levels across both locations to ensure that production requirements are met without overstocking or shortages.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality teams at both factories to forecast needs and address any supply chain issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to suppliers or procurement processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or bakery environment.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel between Yeovil and Poole as needed.
