Key Responsibilities

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your primary duties will include:

  • Performing frontline maintenance tasks based on established priorities while proactively addressing daily operational challenges.
  • Conducting scheduled electrical maintenance on plant and machinery in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment as required.
  • Ensuring effective handover of tasks to the incoming shift engineer.
  • Reporting directly to the maintenance supervisor and manager.
  • Executing checks for Total Preventative Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, and Planned Preventative Maintenance on various equipment, including:
    • Casting furnaces
    • Electronic robots
    • Wax injection moulding machines
    • CNC milling machines
    • Inspection equipment
    • Lighting and component inspection systems
Follow-Up Actions

Responsibilities will also include the replacement or repair of:

  • Electrical and electronic components
  • Switches, including proximity and limit switches
  • Machine safety guards
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Apprenticeship training as a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
  • Certification as a machine tool electrician to 17th/18th edition standards
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in PLC controls, including fault diagnosis, repairs, and programming
  • Multi-skilled experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • A willingness to work various shifts to support a 24/7 operation
