About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Andy File Associates Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing project costs and profitability, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take accurate and informative briefing notes from clients to inform robust pricing and project planning.
  • Work closely with the Quantity Surveying team to manage project costs, profitability, and client relationships.
  • Produce accurate Bills of Quantities, SoWs, and procurement trackers.
  • Subcontract and supplier procurement, including detailed analysis and negotiation.
  • Prepare and issue contracts, and monitor and value variations in line with contract requirements.
  • Produce valuations, monitor key profit opportunities, and report on project performance.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Produce accurate and timely final accounts, and complete project tenders as required.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with a strong background in construction.
  • Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and IT systems, with high-level numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Full driving license, with the ability to travel nationally as required.

  • A competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.
