Duration: Initial 3-month contract with potential extension

Salary: Up to £320 per day PAYE, equivalent to £83,200 per annum

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Jenrick Commercial. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient, and safe delivery of allocated projects. You will manage pump station refurbishment projects from start to finish, provide required reports and progress updates, and work with customers and sub-contract partners to ensure works are delivered within agreed budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage pump station refurbishment projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide required reports and progress updates to stakeholders, including delivery plans, delivery progress, performance against budget, forecast revenues, and forecast costs.
  • Customer and Supplier Management: Work with customers and sub-contract partners to ensure works are delivered within agreed budgets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Manage and lead a team of Engineering Technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies, and maintain a safe working environment for all team members and stakeholders.
  • Commercial and Contractual Management: Ensure the commercial and contractual elements of each project are understood and works are planned and delivered accordingly.
Requirements
  • Education: City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Construction
  • Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely & Safety Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers, CITB: SMSTS and TWCTC
  • Experience: Proven experience of managing pump station refurbishment projects, working with customers and sub-contract partners, and leading a team of Engineering Technicians.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge and experience of Wastewater pump stations, ability to design and project manage a pump station refurbishment, excellent planning and organizing skills, good commercial acumen, and proven experience of dealing with key customers in a professional manner.
