Electrical Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Tandem Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical control system installations at manufacturing sites across East Anglia and occasionally further afield.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers to establish and manage their requirements, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Establish clear criteria for successful project completion, aligning with industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with electrical design engineers to design and develop electrical control systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Organize and oversee the installation of electrical control systems, managing installation staff and sub-contractors as needed.
  • Manage and resolve any issues that may compromise the project, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Work in accordance with relevant statutory regulations, industry codes of practice, and customer site-specific rules.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in electrical project management, with a strong background in industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience in power and instrumentation installations, including ATEX installations, is highly desirable.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition and recognized qualifications in electrical engineering are essential.
  • Knowledge of Eplan and electrical design experience are advantageous.
