Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Lead to join our dynamic team in a newly established role, following a comprehensive review of our financial and operational systems.
Situated within a forward-thinking charity focused on youth development, this position is perfect for a seasoned charity finance professional who is passionate about enhancing financial systems and processes while leading a motivated Finance Team.
Location:
This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring two days a week in our designated offices combined with remote work and occasional travel as necessary.

Working Hours:
Full-time – 37 hours per week with flexible working arrangements; generous annual leave package including bank holidays, additional leave options, and various employee benefits.
We are looking for a candidate who is driven to achieve excellence in all aspects of finance, capable of spearheading innovative system enhancements and inspiring others to embrace new methodologies across a growing network of youth-focused charities.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of current accounting standards and the ability to convey financial information effectively to diverse audiences, including those without a financial background.
As an ambitious charity, you will enjoy a role that offers variety and the opportunity to collaborate with a team dedicated to empowering young individuals to reach their full potential.
Applicants should have management-level accounting experience within a charitable environment, along with comprehensive knowledge of preparing management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
Significant experience in the administration and maintenance of financial reporting systems is essential, including the identification of process improvements and overseeing system updates.
Proficiency in financial software such as Sage and Xero, as well as Excel and other relevant financial tools, is required.
Familiarity with SORP 2015 and other pertinent regulations in charity accounting is important, along with experience in conducting annual audits, whether in a corporate or charitable context.
