Role Description:

The Technical Consultant is responsible for various roles in Service Delivery, including solution design, technical implementation, application/business rules configuration, deployment, training, and documentation as part of a larger project team.

She/he performs the implementation through a proven, structured methodology, deploying solutions, transferring knowledge, adhering to best practices, and completing go-live. These projects combine on-site and remote work, providing a dynamic work environment.

To ensure clients' and Company needs are met, the Technical Consultant collaborates regularly with other Delivery team members and colleagues from various departments, such as Sales, Presales, Customer Success, and Operations.

A Technical Consultant performs tasks within a specific domain of expertise, developing in most competency dimensions and working in different roles on different projects in a specific domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers' requirements and technical architecture, designing solutions for customers' business requirements.
  • Assist in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional/technical design.
  • Assist in the technical proposal process, ensuring accurate, properly defined, and detailed information and recommendations addressing customer requirements.
  • Develop user interfaces, databases, and backend logic for the integration of a labeling system with various third-party systems, such as ERPs, WMS, MES, or PLC.
  • Perform installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and maintenance of solutions implementing industry standards using cloud and/or on-premises.
  • Create and execute user acceptance testing materials.
  • Assist in labeling process and solution consulting.
  • Proactively communicate statuses to Project Manager, identifying potential roadblocks.
  • Assist in the coordination of project activities, such as schedules, subcontractor interactions, report creation, presentation preparation, and status reporting.
  • Provide third-level technical support on-site and remotely.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of services.
  • Instill trustworthy and resourceful relationships between clients, partners, and Loftware.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent along with 2-3 years in a technology environment.
  • Travel (up to 20%) is required.
  • Ability to assess client needs and management requirements, creatively providing solutions addressing those needs, solving clients' problems, and adding value to clients' organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL principles, including normalization and stored procedures.
  • SQL Server 2016 and above database creation and management.
  • Windows Server 2016 and above management (IIS, Active Directory).
  • Experience with both object-oriented programming (C#/.NET Framework or Java) and scripting (VBScript, Python, JavaScript).
  • Mobile application development experience is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and technologies, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and take ownership of implementation issues from origination to resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to convey technical principles to a non-technical audience.
  • Solid planning and customer relationship skills.
  • Thorough in preparing user interface documentation.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work reliably with some supervision of a senior consultant.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs.
  • Provide basic and advanced solution training. Develop and deliver training material.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology through self-study.
  • Fluent in English language. German, Italian, Spanish, or French language is a plus.
