Quantitative Developer Opportunity

Insight Investment is seeking a skilled Quantitative Developer to join its Fixed Income Group in London. This role will involve working closely with quant researchers to develop new tooling and insights, and collaborating with central tech teams to ensure a fit-for-purpose platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy quant applications that provide valuable insights to portfolio managers and credit analysts.
  • Create a user-friendly interface for the FIG quant strategy platform.
  • Develop and maintain software development kits (SDKs) to solve common challenges within the quant estate.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve the architecture and ensure best practices.
  • Improve the observability and stability of existing quant applications.
  • Migrate scheduled workloads to on-prem servers and ensure smooth deployments.
  • Lead code reviews and PRs to ensure design and programming best practices.
Requirements
  • Strong Python coding skills, with experience writing performant and object-oriented code.
  • Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and work with stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts accurately.
  • KPI-focused and committed to adding value from day one.
  • Interest in fixed income markets and a willingness to apply technical acumen to deliver business value.
