Optical Physicist

VividQ Ltd is seeking an experienced Optical Physicist to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing optical systems, waveguides, and hardware prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop optical waveguides and manage their manufacture
- Design and optimize optical systems using Zemax
- Construct hardware prototypes and collaborate with suppliers and customers
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and IP portfolio within your field
- PhD in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in optical design and hardware prototyping
- Strong understanding of optical imaging systems and geometric and diffractive optics
- Experience in waveguide design and prototyping in an industrial setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a self-organizing team
