Middlewoods of Farmington, a senior living community, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to work in our Farmington, CT community. The Maintenance Technician will assist with various maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities to ensure a clean, safe, and operational environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on work with general maintenance repairs of physical plant and equipment, utilizing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
- Clean duties as assigned, including snow removal and removal of debris on the grounds.
- Contribute to the effective operations of the department by demonstrating dependability and adhering to facility requirements and regulations.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain the safety and security of all who reside, visit, or work in the facility.
Requirements:
- Trade School or High School graduate or equivalent.
- Work experience in construction or plant maintenance, preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Willingness to undergo a complete background check, including physical and drug screen.
- Availability to work a Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday schedule, 9:00am-5:00pm.
