Job Title: Personal Assistant

Ideal for All is seeking two female Personal Assistants/Support Workers to work as a team to support a disabled woman with multiple impairments in Tamworth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to enable the individual to live independently.
  • Work independently and at times without direct supervision, dispensing medication under the individual's supervision.
  • Contribute to the individual's wellbeing and maintain a safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Support the individual in accessing activities outside the home, including church attendance and swimming.
Requirements:
  • Current full driving licence (applicant must be over 18 for insurance purposes).
  • Qualification in care work or willingness to undertake commensurate training.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks (employer's expense).
  • Ability to work flexibly, during day, evening, and weekends/bank holidays as part of a small team to cover sickness and holidays.
  • Commitment to working compassionately and genuinely caring for disabled people.
Working Conditions:

The role is 22.5 hours at present, with opportunities for overtime. The individual is entitled to pro rata legal minimum holiday. The employer has claimed an exemption (sex) under the Equality Act 2010 and requires applicants to be female due to personal care.
