Overview:
Blue Arrow is seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Supervisor to oversee our client's facilities management services. This dynamic position involves ensuring the effective delivery of services across various operational areas including Reception, Catering, and Domestic Services.

Key Responsibilities:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor will be tasked with:

  • Driving continuous enhancement and execution of Facilities Services, evaluating performance against established KPIs and SLAs.
  • Coordinating audits in line with the organization's compliance requirements to support service improvement.
  • Managing staff planning and development, while effectively allocating work schedules across multiple locations.
  • Addressing both service and organizational needs, implementing contingency strategies for unexpected challenges.
  • Serving as the primary contact for facility users and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication for seamless service delivery.
  • Overseeing incoming service requests via the FM Helpdesk, ensuring timely management of all requests.
  • Planning and facilitating staff onboarding and training, including cross-functional training initiatives.
  • Monitoring staff performance through audits to identify ongoing development and training requirements.
  • Handling recruitment and retention efforts, alongside daily line management responsibilities.
  • Identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with COSHH assessments and safety protocols.
  • Assisting senior management in monitoring facilities service expenditures, proposing cost-effective solutions while managing resources.
  • Maintaining accurate records for access control and cashless catering systems.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification equivalent to HNC in Facilities Management or relevant experience in a supervisory role.
  • Certification or willingness to achieve Food Hygiene at SCQE Level 7.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience managing services across multiple sites.
  • A background in leading and training teams effectively.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
