Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, maintain, repair, and enhance various communication devices
- Work on public safety equipment installed in vehicles
- Ensure workspace organization and equipment testing
- Design and document modifications for new equipment installations
- Complete necessary documentation and provide training to field technician staff
Essential Qualifications:
- Understanding of digital and analog electronics, communication protocols, and network systems
- Experience with radio programming software and tools
- Ability to read electronic schematic diagrams and communicate effectively with team members
- Possession of an FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License or equivalent within six months
- High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license
Additional Preferences:
- Preference for candidates with formal military or civilian technical training
- Experience with public safety equipment is a plus
