About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pensions Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our pension administration team, you will be responsible for managing the Civil Aviation Authority Pension Scheme (CAAPS) for CAA & NATS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and process pension benefits, including retirement quotations, settlements, and refunds of contributions.
  • Advise on AVC projections and liaise with external AVC providers as needed.
  • Update and maintain the Altair computer database to ensure accurate records.
  • Check and verify calculations performed by other administrators.
  • Liaise with HR and payroll departments to obtain and provide information.
  • Communicate with members and external bodies, such as HMRC and DWP, to resolve queries and provide benefits information.
  • Support projects, such as GMP equalisation, as required.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in administering pensions final salary schemes.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of UK pension legislation and how the CAAPS complies with this.
  • Methodical working practices, ability to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
