Job Title: Aerospace Technical Author

Techniche Global Ltd is seeking a skilled Aerospace Technical Author to join their team in Warrington or Cumbria. This is a hybrid role with a 3/2 day split, with occasional travel required.

Job Type:

Ongoing, 6 months to 3+ years

Rate:

GBP60.00 per hour UMB (Inside IR35)

About the Role:

You will be working closely with the Plant Modification Proposal Manager on various Civil Nuclear Engineering projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing high-quality technical documents in line with project requirements.
  • Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and installation method statements.
  • Identifying potential hazards and ensuring safety measures in relation to nuclear and conventional safety, environmental and waste management, construction, and operational activities.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate, clear, and compliant documentation.
  • Contributing to risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Working within a highly collaborative project environment, requiring strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven background in Technical Authoring / Technical Writing on complex engineering projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, Installation Method statements and Risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with construction and engineering practices, preferably within a nuclear setting (other highly regulated industry experience will be considered).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role - can start with BPSS.
