FryerMiles is collaborating with a prominent organization in Maidenhead to find a Senior Tax Consultant for a permanent role.

In this position, you will oversee the tax operations for the UK, enhancing compliance and controls while delivering insightful tax analysis to various departments within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of the UK corporate tax operations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external UK and Group tax advisory teams
  • Coordinate efforts with the Group Tax Team
  • Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations
  • Manage the relationship with HMRC, addressing inquiries, coordinating processes, and providing regular updates on inquiry status
  • Lead straightforward UK tax accounting and reporting obligations
  • Conduct tax planning assessments and reporting
  • Oversee the annual evaluation of qualifying expenditures for R&D tax credits
  • Review and enhance processes related to VAT returns
  • Support initiatives to mitigate tax evasion risks across the organization
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly CT submissions, including documentation and review processes

Provide expert tax and project management support on local and global initiatives, including changes in group structure, property transactions, and M&A activities, while liaising with external tax partners as necessary.

Assist the broader finance and trade team with indirect tax inquiries for specific cases.


Desired Skills:
  • Possession of an accounting or tax qualification (ACCA/ACA/ICAS/CTA)
  • Experience in an in-house role within a B2B or manufacturing environment or a significant UK Tax practice
  • Interest in systems and indirect taxes
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills
  • A desire to thrive in a dynamic work environment
