About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at St. George's Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis, providing additional support and guidance as needed
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to identify and address student needs, developing strategies to support student success
Requirements
  • Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and other support staff
  • Passion for supporting student learning and development
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
