Warehouse Operations Lead

Gist is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our night operations in Carlisle.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse, overseeing all aspects of daily operations during the night shift.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.
- Overseeing day-to-day administrative tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
- Driving performance across the shift to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborating with third-party agencies to secure necessary resources for staffing needs.
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, and quality standards within the warehouse environment.
We are looking for an individual who possesses:
- Proven experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of success.
- A highly analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns as required.
- Previous experience working with trade unions is advantageous.
