Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in General Gastroenterology to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our gastroenterology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities
As a Consultant in General Gastroenterology, you will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist care to patients with gastroenterological disorders, including outpatient and inpatient services.
- Developing and implementing clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Leading a team of registrars, CMTs, and FY doctors to deliver acute gastroenterology services.
- Collaborating with other departments and services to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of our services.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Registration with the GMC as a specialist or within 6 months of CCT.
- Broad-based training in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopic investigation.
- Leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Knowledge of research methodology in gastroenterology or a related field.
- Experience in service audit, design, or change management.
